Anne LeVan, age 59, experienced a heart attack on Christmas Day and with many supportive prayers she had a miraculous recovery and was able to once again enjoy life with her family and friends. On New Year's Day, Anne experienced another heart attack and passed away. Anne was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, sister and friend to so many people. All those she met were delighted by her warm personality, accepting heart, and good humor. Anne was a dedicated 10-year volunteer for Liz King’s art class at the local elementary school (Sagamore Hills) even after her son Marc left. In addition, she volunteered at various positions around Lakeside High School. She volunteered her services, coordinated activities, and provided transportation for Lakeside Cross Country, Lakeside Track, and Lakeside JROTC. She was always available to talk to and assisted many wonderful students and members of the community.
Anne has one son, who is an active member of Lakeside JROTC and the captain of Lakeside XC. In addition, Anne provide volunteering and support, which was crucial for the operation of our unit. Lakeside JROTC wants to give back to Ms. LeVan and provide funds to the American Heart Association.
After conducting a unit wide donation drive for the AHA, we wanted to continue our support. The first annual March for Hearts 5K will be a Lakeside JROTC sponsored event, and ALL PROCEEDS will be donated to the American Heart Association in Anne’s name.
If you have any questions about the event please feel free to contact the race director, Caleb Torres, at [email protected]
