Description

This race is in honor of Officer Blake Gammill, Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputy who was killed in the line of duty February 24, 2005. All proceeds benefit the DCSO SERT Team. The race course winds through the pathways and trails of Boundary Waters. It's a fantastic race to show support and gratitude for our local boys in blue.


     5K Run/Walk begins at 7:30 AM,

   10.5K begins at 8:15 AM

   1-Mile Run/Walk begins at 8:20 AM.

Saturday, May 13th, 2017  

  • 5K Run/Walk begins at 7:30 AM, 10.5K begins at 8:15 AM and 1-Mile Run/Walk begins at 8:20 AM.
  • Boundary Waters Park, 5000 Hwy 92/166, Douglasville, GA 30135
  • Pre-registered by May 10th, 5K $20.00 and 10.5K $20.00, 1-mile $15.00 (any two races fee is $35.00) pre-registered only will be eligible for door prizes. After May 10th and on race day, fees are $30 (5k or 10.5k) and $25 (1-mile) and ($45 if running both the 5k and 10.5k).  Races will proceed rain or shine. No refunds available.

Packet pick-up and race day registration are at the BoundaryWatersPark beginning at 6:00 AM on the day of the race.

  • All pre-registered participants will receive one quality, wicking technical t-shirt (adult sizes only, youth sizes cotton). Late and race day registrants are not guaranteed a t-shirt.
  • Only 1 shirt if participating in 1 or all events.
  • All run events will be on a combination of roads, grass and trails.  
  • For the safety of everyone, no pets, headphones or strollers are permitted on the course.

Awards

  • 5K overall male & female, masters male & female, and top 3 male & female in 15 age groups from 10 & under through 75+. Ribbons will be awarded to all 1-mile finishers.
