The 5K is a flat and fast, out and back shaded course through Madison’s Antebellum Historic District. The 10.2K course follows the same route and continues beyond city limits on scenic rural road, mostly flat with a few moderate rollers. Law enforcement and EMTs will be on duty. Time splits, water stops and refreshments will be provided.

5K Awards: Given after the start of the Fun Run
10.2K Awards: Given out as runners finish and turn in their finish cards. No ceremony
Awards: Overall first place Male and Female; first place Masters Male and Female; and first, second and third place in each standard age group.
Timing and Results: Finish line management provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, www.runningintheusa.com, www.coolrunning.com.
Shirts and Goodies: Pre Shrunk cotton poly blend shirts are guaranteed to those who pre-register by 5/1/17. Those who register after that date and on race day are not guaranteed a shirt or size and will be given while supplies last. There will be plenty of refreshments.
Series Affiliation: The races are part of the 2017 Black Bag Race Series and Run and See Georgia Grand Prix. Double Grand Prix points for the 10.2K.
Directions: From Atlanta take I20 east, from Augusta take I20 west, exit 114 (US 441). Travel north toward Madison. Pass through the Historic District. Turn left at the first light, Washington St. One block down Washington St. turn left on First St.
From Athens take 441 South. At the bypass, turn right onto 278/Main St. into Madison. Turn right at the second light, Washington St. One block down at Washington St. turn left onto First St. The race begins and ends at First St. and Jones Alley.
Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on. Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time. If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time. Sorry, no refunds.
