Looking for a fun run that supports a great cause?  Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. (JLA) is hosting it's 10th annual Jennifer Summers Barrett Memorial Volunteers on the Run 5K.  JLA is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. 

Come join us on the B&A Trail for a family fun running and walking event!  Strollers and four legged friends are welcome too!  It will also be Mother's Day weekend so bring your moms/grandmoms out for a fun time together on the B&A Trail.  We will have top finisher prizes for fastest female and male runner, top kid runner, and top team that raised the most money!  We will have a fun after party once you make it past the finishing line!  We look forward to seeing you there! 

Registration Sign-Up Information: There are multiple ways to sign-up for the race and/or donate to JLA!

1. Individual Registration- $25

2.  Team Registration- $10 to start a team of at least three people.  Each team members only pays $20 (That is a $5.00 savings)!  

3.  Raise money through Crowdrise whether as an individual or team.  The money that you raise will go back to the initiatives that JLA supports.

4.  Want to donate more money?  Unable to attend the race?  That's ok!  You can still donate to JLA through Active (minimum of $25.00).

Event details and schedule

Packet Pick-Up

1. Friday, May 12^th at Fleet Feet in Annapolis, MD from 4pm-8pm

Address: Annapolis Harbour Center, 2572 Solomons Island Rd, Annapolis, MD 21401

2.  You can also pick up your race packet the day of the race: Saturday, May 13^th on the B&A Trail at the packet pick-up table from 8:45am-9:45am

Event Schedule

1. Sign-in 9:00am-9:45am

2. Arrive early at 9:30am if you already signed-up (park then walk to trail)

3. Introductions at 9:45am

4. National Anthem at 9:55am

5. Race starts 10am. We will be stagnating the line

6. Fun after-party with music, rehydrating drinks, food tables, activities and raffles

Course Info: Race will be on the B&A Trail starting at the corner of Evergreen Road and Baltimore Annapolis Road.  Check out the map for 5k race directions and the markers from the parking lot.  Please check out the map of the course.

PARKING INFORMATION

Parking will be at the Severn School parking lot at 101 Holly Ave, Severna Park, MD 21146

*** There will be signs and volunteers giving directions into the parking lot.

DIRECTIONS TO THE RACE

Coming from Baltimore, MD 
1. Take MD-295 S. Take I-97 S to Benfield Blvd in Hanover.  

2.  Take the exit onto I-695 E toward Glen Burnie.  Follow signs for Annapolis/Bay Bridge

3.  Take exit 10A from I-97 S

4.  Merge onto Benfield Blvd, turn right onto Evergreen Rd, turn right onto 101 Holly Ave

From Annapolis, MD

1.  Get on US-301 N/US-50 E

2.  Take exit 27 for MD-2 N/MD-450 S toward Baltimore/Naval Academy

3.  Keep left, follow signs for MD-2 N/Baltimore.  Stay on MD-2 N/Baltimore

4.  Make a slight left onto Baltimore Annapolis Blvd.  Then turn right to stay on Baltimore Annapolis Blvd

5.  Turn left onto Evergreen Rd.  Then turn left onto 101 Holly Ave

What To Wear: Comfortable and light clothes and sneakers since it may be warm during this time of the year

What to Bring: Water bottle, sunscreen, hat, ID and a credit card and/or cash if you hadn't signed up

Waivers:

Children 13-18: parents complete the online waiver and sign photo waiver at packet pick-up or day of the race

Children 12 and under: parents complete the hard copy waiver at packet pick-up or the day of the race
