Run to Remember Memorial Day 5K

Honor our nation’s fallen heroes this Memorial Day weekend by participating in the Run To Remember Memorial Day 5K Run/Walk. The race will be held Saturday, May 27, and it has a new location this year: WinterPlace Park.

WinterPlace Park is located not far off Route 50 at 6737 Blue Ribbon Road in Salisbury. The course will be on wooded trails. 

Refreshments will be available following the race with awards presented to the top male and female finishers in five age categories. Walkers are welcome to take part in all or a portion of the race.

Proceeds benefit the Wicomico War Veterans' Memorial at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center, which honors the citizens of Wicomico County who lost their lives while serving the United States during war.

Participants must register by Wednesday, May 10, to ensure receipt of a commemorative T-shirt. Pets are welcome to run or walk with you, but must be kept on a leash at all times.

The course includes the wooded trails at WinterPlace Park.

From Route 50 heading east, turn left onto Hobbs Road, then right onto Winterplace Parkway and left onto Blue Ribbon Road. The parking lot is a short distance down Blue Ribbon Road.
