RACE START LINE/COURSE

RUNNERS START 8 AM • WALKERS START 8:10 AM
This is a sanctioned USAT&F 4-mile course. Our start line is at One Park Blvd. at
Harbor Dr. between the Hilton San Diego Bayfront and the San Diego Convention
Center and the course travels south along Harbor Dr. to Cesar E. Chavez Pkwy.
Participants head east to National Ave., then up and over the Coronado Bay Bridge.
The race finishes in Coronado’s Tidelands Park. Expect flat streets, an incline up the
bridge and a decline down the bridge. Walkers are encouraged to bring cameras to
take some great photos of San Diego and Coronado from on top of the bridge! Baby
strollers, wheelchairs and guide dogs are permitted. Skateboards, bikes, in-line
skates, race wheelchairs and pets are prohibited. All participants must be on the bridge by 8:45 am, approximately 1 mile, to allow for the reopening of traffic lanes.

CHIP TIMING

Only those registered as a TIMED RUNNER will receive a timing chip with their bib number by mail. Place your timing chip on your shoe. Either foot is acceptable. No need to be head of the pack! Your official race time begins when you step on the timing mat directly under the CHIP TIMING scaffolding. You must wear the timing chip to get an official finishing time. If you do NOT wear your chip on your shoe, the system will not record you finishing and we will be unable to provide you with a finishing time.

TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING

Avoid the crowds and parking downtown, take the trolley or bus! Purchase an MTS Trolley/Bus Race Day Pass/Race Bib for $5.50 from us. Your Day Pass will be good all-day on May 21, 2017! Plus, enjoy the MTS Family Deal where two children, 12 and under, ride FREE with each paying passenger 18 years and over.

To get your combo Day Pass/Race Bib in advance from us, you must select it when you register. This pass gives each participant unlimited access to all MTS trolley and bus routes in the Metropolitan area for the day. (Day Pass does not include MTS Access or COASTER.)

Park at Qualcomm Stadium for FREE and catch the Green Line between 5:53 am and 6:53 am to the Gaslamp Station (just a short walk across Harbor Drive to the start line by the Hilton.) Free parking is also available at more than 25 Park & Ride Trolley stations throughout the system. Blue or Orange Line riders should plan to be at the 12th & Imperial Transit Center by 7:30 am and then take the short walk to the south side of PETCO Park and use the Pedestrian Bridge to cross over Harbor Drive to the Hilton.

As a convenience to race participants, the all day combo 1-Day Pass/Race Bib is only available at the time of registration through the Bridge Run website. To ride the Trolley or Bus on Race Day without the special Bib, purchase a 1-Day Pass for $7 (includes a reloadable Compass Card) at any Trolley Ticket Machine (cash, credit or debit); on MTS Bus you can purchase the $7 paper Day Pass at the farebox (exact change only). Every rider must have proof of fare.
