Cetronia's Great Ambulance Chase 5K Run, Walk & Dog Walk...

The Great Ambulance Chase 5K Run, Walk & Dog Walk is a family friendly and pet-friendly event for runners of all skill level. Timing for the race will be done by Pretzel City Sports: awards will be given to the top overall finishers and the team with the fastest combined time in the 5K run.  Age-group awards will be given for each catogory of the run and participants of the 5K walk will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win a classroom pizza party with "Andy the Ambulance" or a CPR certification class for up to 10 people.  Food trucks will be on site throughout the event, and following the race and awards there will be other fun activities, including an Open House with vehicle/equipment displays, facility tours and police and fire K9 demonstrations. 

Cetronia Ambulance Corps is dedicated to the ongoing education of its employees, volunteers, youth and neighbors who benefit directly from our education initiatives.  These programs are essential to helping Cetronia continue their life-saving mission as a community based public health and safety partner that serves the needs of over a quarter million residents living and working in the Lehigh Valley.   All proceeds from the Great Ambulance Chase benefit youth and community education programs offered by Cetronia Ambulance Corps. 

Cetronia Ambulance Corps has a proud 60-plus year history of providing emergency medical servicecs to residents in the Lehigh Valley.  As the regional leader in EMS, Cetronia every year responds to more than 60,000 requests for service and more than 250 special events, stand-bys and educational programs; operating the only nationally accredited and High Performance EMS system in Eastern PA.  As a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization, Cetronia relies on grants, donations, subscriptions and user fees to support its critical role in the regions public safety system.

Event Schedule:

8:00 - 8:30 AM -- 5K registration/packet pick-up

8:45 - 8:55 AM -- Pre-race announcements

9:00 AM -- 5K run begins

9:10 AM -- 1.5 mile walk begins

10:00 AM -- 5K awards ceremony & raffles

10:10 AM -- K-9 demonstrations

K9 demonstrations featuring "Judge" of the Allentown Fire Department.  Food trucks will be available for food purchase.

Awards and Recognition

Awards will be given to the top 3 male and top 3 female overall finishers in the 5K run.  Age group awards will be given to the top male and top female finisher of the 5K run in each category - 18 & under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & older.  Overall finishers will be included in the age group awards.  A team award will also be given to the team with the fastest combined time in the 5k run.  All participants of the 5K walk will be entered in a raffle to win either a classroom pizza party with "Andy the Ambulance" or a CPR certification class for up to 10 people. 

Bibs & Race T-Shirts

T-shirts are included with race fee, only those who register by April 30th are guaranteed a t-shirt.  Sizes cannot be exchanged.  Bibs will be provided for all participants in the 5K run.  Bibs will be included with the packet pick-up which can be picked up in advance or you can obtain on race day. 

Packet Pick-Up

Pre-registered participants can pick up their race packets between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM on May 17th - May 19th at the Cetronia Ambulance Corps facility located at 4300 Broadway Allentown PA 18104.  Race packets will also be available for pick up between 8:00 - 8:30 AM on race day.
