The 4th Annual Rush Run 5K Run/Walk, hosted by the Monongalia County 4-H Teen Leaders, is in memory of Sydney Rush. Sydney was a bright star shining on everyone around her. She was an outstanding 4-Her... A true example of "Making The Best Better". Sydney attended Clay-Batelle High School and was a state track champion and a member of their state championship cheerleading squad, as well as a 4-H member, a Young Life youth, and much more. In September of 2013, she was involved in a fatal car accident on her way home from a youth event. We miss her and in her memory, we host this event she would have loved. The Teen Leaders wear pink in Syd's honor, & invite you to join them and put your pink on. 

Proceeds benefit The Sydney Rush Monongalia County 4-H Teen Leader Memorial Fund which helps Mon Co youth continue to enjoy the benefits of 4-H camp by providing four camp scholarships each year. And new this year we will place additional proceeds toward future scholarship funding for higher education. 

The 2017 Rush Run 5K will be held at Hazel Ruby McQuain Amphitheater at the Wharf on August 18th at 7:00pm. The running course will begin at the Amphitheater and continue on to Decker's Creek Trail towards Marilla Park and then return. The walking course also begins at the Amphitheater and continues on to Caperton Trail to the Lock and Dam and back. 

Registration Fee: Open registration - August 4 is $20. This guarantees you a Rush Run T-Shirt & Swag Bag. Please note: All online registrations will include an additional $2.50 credit card processing fee.

Registration Fee:  August 5 - Race Day (including day of) is $30. Please note: All online registrations will include an additional $2.50 credit card processing fee. Race t-shirt will be based on availability.
