The Superhero run/walk and doggie dash hosted by Kids Helping Kids Awareness or KHKA will take place at Martinsburg North Middle School on the track during the peak of autumn. The event also includes a pre-race pancake breakfast, a post-race pasta lunch, a bake sale, and pre and post-race fun complete with music and contests. Costumes are welcomed and encouraged, and prizes will be awarded for the best adult, child and pet costumes. The course starts and ends on the track at MNMS. The emphasis of this event is on fun! Runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to participate.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Court Appointed Special Advocates of the Eastern Panhandle (CASA-EP), serving Berkeley, Morgan, and Jefferson Counties. CASA-EP volunteers are appointed by judges to watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children in our community, to make sure they don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social services system or languish in inappropriate group or foster homes.
Remember, every child needs a Super Hero! Join us on May 6 and be a CASA Super Hero.
