Beer Run - Goose Island Brewing - Part of the IL Brewery Running Series...

• 5K Run / Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles

Join us at 11AM on SATURDAY,  at Goose Island Beer Company Tap Room (1800 W Fulton St) and enjoy a 5k-ish fun-run throughout the surrounding neighborhood & streetscape! Walk, jog, run… no one cares! We’ve mapped out a course that starts and ends at the brewery and our guides along the way will make sure you know where to go. Cross the finish line and celebrate!

All participants receive a FREE craft brew from Goose Island Brew and get to take home a collectors pint glass or seasonal swag item. Bring the whole gang!

Let’s consider this an “un-race” as it goes against many principles of those fancy 5k races you may be familiar with. This is not timed and you will not get a medal when you finish. What you will get is an excuse to enjoy the great Chicago outdoors, FREE beer and swag, and the wonderful feeling that you are supporting our local community. Some more important things to note:

• This will be an OPEN course, meaning roads will not be closed.You are responsible for obeying all traffic laws and regulations
• You must bring a valid ID or drivers license. You do not need to be 21 to enjoy the course, but you must be 21 to enjoy the beer. Please drink responsibly. (Registered, underage participants will receive a FREE non-alcoholic beverage)
• We run rain or shine!Please dress appropriately for the weather
• Therewill not be a bag check; please plan accordingly

Event details and schedule

The fun-run starts at 11:00 AM sharp! Plan to arrive about 30 minutes prior to check-in to check out our partners, sponsors and pre-race activities. Don’t forget some extra $$$. In addition to your FREE beer and swag, there will be merchandise for sale, food trucks, and plenty more beer!

There is public parking on the streets nearby. We always encourage carpooling and safe, designated drivers. Is public transit an option for you?
