Race to the Pulpit!...

HEY RUNNING FRIENDS!

We want to invite you to participate in a fun race taking place on June 3 @ 10am called "Race to the PULPIT" hosted here in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina by Outdoor 76!! It is a 5 mile "team race", one male & one female, where fastest average time wins. The race will travel the Bartram Trail and will challenge runners to see who can make it to Williams Pulpit and back the fastest!! Minimal wedding attire is required: neck / bow tie for men and women are required to wear a veil or carry a bouquet of flowers. We will have prizes for the best dressed team in addition to the winners of the race! After the race Outdoor 76 and Rock House Lodge will be hosting the awards ceremony, where we will have LIVE MUSIC, food, craft beer and a great time!

***Race is limited to 50 teams and t-shirts are limited to the first 25 teams***

Event details and schedule

• Race starts at 10am
• Race packet pickup for Friday from 5-8pm as follows:  Outdoor 76, 35 East Main Street, Franklin NC 28734
• Race packet pickup for Saturday (race day) from 8-10am as follows:  Race Start Location, 1250 Ray Cove Rd, Franklin NC 28734
  
• Course: The 5 mile race will start on Wallace Branch Rd in Franklin. Racers will run from where Wallace Branch and Ray Cove intersect to the Bartram Trail access. Runners will climb for 2 miles to Williams Pulpit. After reaching Williams Pulpit racers will return to the start where they will end with their fun filled 5 mile wedding themed run.
• Water will be available at the 2.5 mile turn around and at the finish line
  
• Minimum wedding attire required:  men must wear a neck / bow tie and women must wear a veil or carry a bouquet of flowers. Full wedding attire suggested for a good time!
  
• Awards will be given to the first place team (fastest average time) and the best dressed team
