The Fast and the Furriest 5K and Festival...

The 2nd Annual "Fast and the Furriest 5K" is for runners, walkers, and their dogs! We are excited to offer a 5K race AND a 5K walk for athletes, beginners and kids alike, while raising money to save lives!  For the first time, we will be hosting a festival after the 5K! 

The Fast and the Furriest 5K, benefiting Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, will be held at Brook Run Park, 4770 N Peachtree Rd in Dunwoody.  The course starts and finishes at the large pavilion and stays on the paved trails the entire time. 

As a USATF certified 5k course (certification # pending), this race is an AJC Peachtree Road Race qualifier.

The course will have two aid & water stations along the route for runners, walkers and their dogs.

The Fast and the Furriest will happen rain or shine. Due to the volume of runners and the limited space on the greenway- walkers, dogs and strollers will be asked to stay to the back at the start. 

Included for each competitor is a custom race t-shirt (guaranteed if registered by May 27, 2017), a goody bag with treats for both owners and dogs, and post-race snacks.  All participants will have a chance to enjoy the festival before it opens to the public!! The Fast and the Furriest 5K is perfect for both runners and walkers, who want to make a difference in the lives of homeless dogs and cats in North Georgia.

7:30 am - 5K Run (TIMED)

7:35 am - 5K Walk  (UNTIMED)

9:00 am- Festival opens to the public

Packet pick-up will be available on race day beginning at 6:30 am.  Early packet pick-up location and times will be announced soon!
