1st Annual Christie's Carcinoid Cancer Walk & Roll...

• 5K Walk:- Walk 3.1 Miles

At age 41, Christie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroendocrine cancer. As a single mother to 4 amazing children, she didn't let it bring her down. She fought like a warrior but lost the battle within a few short months on June 5, 2016.

"The word Cancer destroys. I'm not letting it. It's rebuilding here." Christie posted those words just weeks before she gained her wings. Even in her own troubled time she was looking ahead to how she could help others. That's who she was. Always there for her friends; giving to her community; opening her heart, hands and life for whoever needed her.

This walk was Christie's idea and all money raised will be used in the following ways:

• $500 scholarship to a Big Lake Senior who has experienced cancer personally or within their family
• Percentage will donated to the Denver cancer facility where Christie received treatments
• Help Big Lake families in need throughout the year
