2017 Full Moon 5K - Birdseye ~ Results ::

-) 2017 Full Moon 5K Run:

Race a course lit by moonlight and luminaries.  This event will start and end at the Patoka Lake Beach located inside Newton Stewart State Recreation Area. 

All proceeds benefit the educational ambassadors at Patoka Lake Nature Center; a bald eagle, red-tailed hawk and eastern screech owl.

Runners will race near the lake shore and through the woods on well groomed gravel and grass pathways as well as well maintained roads and bike path.  There will be 1-2 water stations along the course.  Flashlights and headlamps are permitted for better visibility. 

Most GPS and MapQuest directions lead to the entrance gate to Newton Stewart State Recreation Area by using the address: 3084 N. Dillard Rd. Birdseye, IN 47513.

Once at the gatehouse you will take the second paved road to the left to reach the beach.  Signs will be posted.

Early Bird registration runs until May 6th at $25.

May 7- June 9 - $35.

Registration will take place on Thursday, June 8 from 8:30 -4p.m. and on race day until 3:30p.m. at the Nature Center.  Registration will continue at the beach on race day from 4:30- 9:15p.m.

Awards will be given to Top Male and Female along with age group winners 1st through 3rd places in the following age groups:  14 and under, 15 -19, 20 -29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 60 -69 and 70+.
