Inaugural Horse & Dragon Half Marathon and Pint Run/Walk             June 11, 2017

Come run Fort Collins newest Half Marathon!  This point-to-point half marathon course is flat (slightly downhill) starting at CSU's Hughes Stadium and finishes at the Horse & Dragon Brewery where tasty brews, live music and food await! Registration includes a tech. shirt, customized race bib, finisher glass and beer.   Awards given to Overall and Age Group winners (event is chip-timed). To avoid the entry cap, register early, price goes up June 1!  Half Marathon starts at 7:00am.  Park at Hughes Stadium. Courtesy shuttles provided to return half marathoners from the brewery back to the stadium parking area. 

This event also includes a fun, easy 1.6 mile Pint Run/Walk that starts at 8:00 am at the brewery.   Registration includes a t-shirt, customized race bib, finisher glass and beer!  

Costume Contest!

There is a costume contest open to all participants (half marathoners and pint runners/walkers). Come dressed up as your favorite Horse or Dragon!  Prizes awarded for best costumes!

Event details and schedule

Course Info:

Half Marathon course begins at Hughes Stadium (County Rd. 42C/Dixon Canyon Rd.), then heads north on Overland Trail, enters Poudre Trail (bike path) at Lyons Park and then follows the Poudre River to Old Town where it crosses Linden St. and exits the bike path onto Lincoln Ave.  Course heads northeast on Lincoln Ave. past O'Dells Brewery and Fort Collins Brewery, crosses Lemay and Link Lane, turns left onto Commerce Way, then an immediate right onto Heath Parkway, quick left onto Racquette Drive and then straight through the Finish Arch at Horse & Dragon Brewery.

Pint Run/Walk is a 1.6 mile loop course that begins and ends at Horse & Dragon Brewery.   

Packet Pickup:

Saturday, June 10, from 12pm - 5pm at Horse & Dragon Brewery 124 Racquette Drive, Fort Collins, CO. 

Sunday, June 11 (Race Day): 

Half Marathon: 6:00 to 6:45 am at Hughes Stadium 

Pint Run/Walk: 7:00 to 7:45 am at Horse & Dragon Brewery 

Start Times & Parking:

Half Marathon starts at 7:00 am at Hughes Stadium (Dixon Canyon Rd/County Rd 42C, Fort Collins, CO).  Free parking for the day of the event.  Courtesy Shuttles provided to return finishers from Horse & Dragon Brewery back to event parking at the stadium.  

Pint Run/Walk starts at 8:00 am at Horse and Dragon Brewery (124 Racquette Dr., Fort Collins, CO). Free parking available near the brewery. 

Bag/Gear Drop:

Half marathoners may check their bag (with bib# tag attached) at the Start.  All gear bags will be transported to the finish (Horse & Dragon Brewery) for pickup.

Transportation:

Free courtesy shuttles for half marathon participants will be available at Horse & Dragon Brewery to take finishers back to parking lot at Hughes Stadium.  Shuttle vans provided by Miramont Lifestyle Fitness.
