Friends join us on Saturday, May 20, 2017, in historic downtown Palm Harbor at 5:30 pm for this awesome celebration and festival held annually for Jimmy Buffet fans, lovers of the islands and parrotheads from around the world. Check in on event day is in front of Peggy O's on Florida Avenue at the race check in tent (just look for the large RACE flag). You can check in to pick up your race bib and promotional t-shirt as early as 4:30 pm.  We'll walk as a group together across the street to the Pinellas Trail to start our 2 mile (out and back) run/walk/parade at 5:30 pm. The 2 miler is limited to 150 participants so ensure that  ALL finishers will be rewarded with the highly desired "parrothead finisher's medal"  Come back to Peggy's O's street party and enjoy amazing live music, dancing in the street and a free beer at the race check in tent for all finishers of the 2 miler fun and crazy Parrothead run/walk/parade.

Event details and schedule

The is no packet pick up prior to race day.  The 2 miler is open to all ages and is family and stroller friendly.  The streets of historic downtown Palm Harbor will be closed for the Parrothead festival but you'll find us on the streets  Florida Avenue directly in front of Peggy O's for race check in, bib pick up and free beer ticket.  The run is electronically scored but to keep it fun and non competitive we have not included a post race awards category. Therefore, your job is to show off your awesome parrothead medal with all the island lovers at the festival. Get creative and wear your favorite island themed outfit. The 2 miler will begin RIGHT AT 5:30 pm on the Pinellas Trail at Florida Avenue heading north out and back to the start/finish line.  Wait for instructions near the check in tent as we will all walk over to the start finish line together. THIS IS A FUN ONE AND A  VERY QUICK SELL OUT.  Let's DO THIS ISALND LOVERS!
