Join the movement on June 10, 2017 in New York City and go the distance for farm animals. You can help outrun cruelty with compassion and inspire change in the way society views and treats farm animals everywhere.
Most people adopt a plant-based lifestyle for one of three reasons: for the animals, for our personal health, or for the environment. Similarly, there are three ways to participate in these nation-wide events: a 10K Timed Run, a Fun Run, and of course, a non-competitive Walk. There is a place for everyone, no matter where you are on your personal journey.
The Opening Ceremony will feature a talk from Farm Sanctuary’s celebrated President and Co-founder Gene Baur, whom TIME magazine calls “the conscience of the food movement” and Oprah Winfrey recently selected to join her SuperSoul 100 “dream team” of “100 awakened leaders who are using their voices and talent to elevate humanity.”
The NYC Plant-Powered Run is held in partnership with Green Festival, America’s largest and longest-running sustainability and green-living event! Plant Powered Run participants in New York City can continue the compassionate celebration all weekend long at Green Festival held at the Javits Center on June 10th and 11th. Visit the Green Festival website for the full schedule and to learn more about the New York City Green Festival.
