- Start the 4th of July off with a bang and join the gang at the biggest race in central Maine. 550 racers attended in 2016, making this one of central Maine's most popular races.
With a start time of 8AM on Tuesday, July 4th the race is open to all runners, joggers and walkers. After a loop through downtown Winthrop, the course follows along the beautiful eastern shore of Maranacook Lake.

Race day registration ($25) starts at 7AM at the American Legion, 117 Bowdoin Street, Winthrop. There is no guarantee of a t-shirt and gift bag on race day registrations.
For the safety of runners, parking is not allowed along the race route. Parking attendants will guide participants and spectators to designated parking areas.
Proceeds from this race support programs and projects offered by the Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed, a 7,000-member organization whose mission is to "Protect and Improve the 28 Lakes and Streams of the Cobbossee Watershed."
