Course Information
The 2.70 mile race begins and ends at the Pine Banks Park/Sylvan Street (Melrose) parking lot with access on 73 Sylvan Street. The side-walk route, covers Sylvan Street, to Lebanon Street, to Forest Street, to Main Street, to Sylvan Steet back to the finish line. It's a pretty, tree-lined route around the Park through charming Melrose and Malden neighborhoods. Volunteers will be stationed along the route to direct you!
Arrival Information
Packet pick-up will be from 8:00-8:45 a.m. the day of the race. Please bring an ID to receive your bib on race day. Tables will be set up on the grassy area as you enter the Sylvan Street parking lot through the stone posts (this is on the Melrose side of the Park). Come to the YWCA race registration table to get your bib; then warm up for a fun run/walk! Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather. Water and snacks will be provided at the race. Additionally, there will be a fabulous DJ on hand and plenty of great music.
Parking Information
There's lots of free parking in the Sylvan Street lot. You are welcome to park in this lot as long as you arrive before 8:30 a.m. However, you will not be able to leave the lot until the race has concluded and all runners and walkers are in. There is also parking on Main Street by the baseball field at Pine Banks Park. And, the Oak Grove Orange line stop is about 15 minute walk to the start line.
