Jordyn is a spunky, sassy, and energetic three year old girl diagnosed with Alexander disease, a terminal leukodystrophy. This disease affects children differently, and for Jordyn it causes seizures, makes walking and talking difficult, and causes sensory issues that make being around large groups for long periods of time impossible.
Jordyn sees many doctors and therapists to combat the regression this disease causes, and so far she has continued to take steps forward. Proceeds from this race will go to either helping pay for the physical, speech, and occupational therapies that are currently the only things that can be done to help combat this disease, or to funding a once a year trip to Philadelphia to be part of a research study on Alexander disease.
