The fastest mile on the East Coast! Over 100 foot drop in elevation over a straight shot mile! Come run down Centennial Parkway on a Friday night in June and get a PR. Post-Race party will be at Trophy Brewing Co. on Maywood Ave. Awards will be sponsored by Runologie! First 200 registrants will recieve a one of a kind Raleigh RunDown coozie! In 2016, 3 men ran sub 4:00, 32 men ran sub 5:00. 4 Women ran sub 5:00 and 29 Women went sub 6:00. Come see how fast you can go!

Raleigh RunDown Downhill Mile will consist of 3 races: Men's Competitive, Women's Competitive, Kid's & Recreational Walk/Run (with chip timing from Rhodes Race Timing)

Event Schedule

5:00pm Race Day Registration (until 6:30pm at the starting line). Packet pickup and registration will be at Runologie (401 Hillsborough St, Raleigh, NC 27603), Thursday (6/15) from 5-7pm and Friday (6/16) from 11am-1pm. Online registration closes at midnight on Thursday. Race day entry will be $25.

7:00pm Women's Competitive Race

7:20pm Men's Competitive Race

7:40pm Kid's & Recreational Run/Walk

8:30pm Awards (provided by Runologie) & Post-Race Party at Trophy Brewing Co. on Maywood Ave

Parking will be available in nearby NC State Centennial Campus parking lots (see map) and at Trophy Brewing Co. at 656 Maywood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27603.

Post-race party and award ceremony will be at Trophy Brewing Co. on Maywood Avenue (about 1/4 mile from finish)

Awards will be given to top 3 in Male and Female categories below:

1. Top 3 Overall
2. Youth (17 and under)
3. Open (18-39)
4. Masters (40-49)
5. Grand Masters (50+)
6. Senior Grand Masters (60+)

*Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female finishers gain automatic entry to the Pop Up Miles - Championship Miles on Tuesday, June 27th. Winners from that race will get a chance to compete in the Elite Race at the 2017 Sir Walter Miler.
