Join Us at R Park For The 13th Annual Shirley's Heart Run!
Saturday, June 17th at 9:00am
We're thrilled to take advantage of all that R Park (rendezvouslandsconservancy.org/about-r-park) has to offer! Shirley's Heart Run participants will head down the pathway from R Park to the Wilson pedestrian bridge and run across the Snake River to the Emily's Pond Levee trail (also known as the Dike), along the shore of the Snake River. Shirley's Heart Run is an out-and-back 5K Run or Walk benefiting the cardiology program at St. John's Medical Center.
Please park at the Stilson Lot in Village Road and use the underpass to cross over to R Park. Public restrooms are available at the Stilson Lot.
This important community event is hosted each year in memory of Shirley Kyle. Shirley had a heart of gold and a beautiful spirit that she shared with everyone either through her kind words & deeds or her infectious smile. Shirley was greatly loved and now is sorely missed as she made her early exit to heaven on April 13, 2005 when she died of a heart attack.
Alison Kyle Keffer, Shirley's daughter, has lived in Jackson for 20 years. Her goal is to raise awareness of the importance in detecting early signs of heart disease that could lead to its prevention.
Run for a friend, run for a loved one, RUN FOR YOU!
Special Thanks to R Park for being the host site of Shirley's Heart Run this year!
