 - 5K run and 2 mile fun run/walk for the whole family, all to support the Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington's sight-saving mission!

Who can participate in this event?  

The Eye Run for POB is open to all ages. When you register, you will have two options: Competitive 5K Run (timed) or Fun Run/Walk (approx. 2 miles and un-timed).

Running Guidance:

Achilles International is a nonprofit running and social club that pairs athletes with disabilities such as visual impairment with volunteer guides to run. Guides are available for this event. To learn more, click here.

Parking:  

Complimentary parking is available at Westfield Montgomery Mall.

Bag Check:  

There is no bag check available. Parking is conveniently located very near the race start.

Pets:  

Please do not bring pets to the event. For safety reasons, skates and headsets will not be permitted on the route. Strollers will be permitted, but participants with strollers will be asked to allow competitive runners to line up at the front for safety reasons. Fun run/walk participants including non-competitive runners, runners with young children, and walkers will be asked to line up at the back of the participants to allow 5K runners to start first as a safety precaution.

Packet Pickup:

Details about packet pickup will be posted here as the event approaches. 

All 5K run participants will pick up their timing chip on event day to be timed during the race. 

Onsite Registration: 

Participants will be able to register the morning of the event from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. for $60. Day-of registrations cannot be guaranteed a t-shirt and size options will be limited.  Save time and sign up today!
