The Statuto Race is America's 4th oldest foot race. A fast out and back, mostly flat 5 mile course starts at the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club on Washington Square Park at 9am.  The course runs North from SFIAC Club Headquarters at 1630 Stockton St. to North Point to Herb Caen Way along the waterfront to Bryant St and back. There is also a two mile fun walk along the same course.  The walk turnaround is at Pier 23 1/2.

Registration includes a commemorative 97th annual event T-shirt to all entrants. For the 5 mile race, trophies will be awarded to the first overall male and female runners, and the first SFIAC dues paying member. Medals are awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place men and women starting at age 18 and under, 19 to 29 and every 10 year age category up to 80+. The first 200 people to complete the run or walk will receive a free salami.

Prize drawings for all entrants in both the 5 mile run and 2 mile fun walk will be held in the club banquet hall right after the race/walk. Must be present to win.

Regsister online by 5pm Tuesday May 23. Registration is $30 for the 5-mile run and $25 for the 2-mile walk. After May 23 and on race day signup starting at 7:45am, registration will be $40 for the 5- mile run and $35 for the 2-mile fun walk.  For more information visit www.sfiac.org to download an entry form.
