Lincoln's Legacy of Giving 5K/10K takes place on June 2, 2017 at 6pm.  The event starts in shelter #7 at Lincoln Park then progresses thru Oak Ridge Cemetery, the nation's second most visited cemetery. 

Come run a beautiful but challenging course thru a 160 year old cemetery and take a moment to view Lincoln's Tomb and don't forget to rub Abe's bronze nose for Good Luck, you may need it, Honest. 

This fund raiser supports the Oak Ridge Cemetery and this year has the added goal of funding the Restoration of the Original Lincoln Internment Book. 

This event is part of the Inaugural Lincoln's Legacy of Giving Musicfest being held in dowtown Springfield Illinois.  Come run where Lincoln is buried then enjoy music, food and beverages in the town Lincoon called home.

Event details and schedule

Both events are chip timed and all runners receive a gender specific race shirt, on course support, post event snacks at the shelter, handmade awards from ancient oaks and entry into the musicfest and food and drinks. 

The 10K starts at 6:00pm and the 5K starts at 6:15pm on Friday june 2, 2017
