The Mutt Strut 5K Run/Walk raises awareness and funds for animals who are homeless and neglected. It supports The Humane Society of Kent County's efforts to continue providing for the welfare of homeless animals, providing a voice through advocacy and education, and giving a second chance to both humans and animals. 100% of the proceeds benefit HSKC.

Event details and schedule

Registration opens at  7;30am and the Race starts at 8:30am.

The race will start and finish at Wilmer Park, on the Chester River. The course runs along the river and winds through gentle hills and will keep paws on paved roads. The course will be marked and water stops and restrooms will be provided. Police will direct traffic to ensure runners’ safety along the route.

Well behaved, vaccinated dogs on a leash are welcome to participate. One dog per participant. Please enusre that your dog is in proper physical condition to participate. Pet owners are resposible for pet waste.

Only pre-registered participants are guaranteed race t-shirts; "day of" t-shirts are available only on a first come, first serve basis.

Awards will be given in Overall Male & Female.

 Food and refreshments provided at the finish line. The finish line will be professionally timed and photographed.
