• Half Marathon:- Run 13.1 Miles

The Harmon Lake Trail Festival is a summer trail running festival at Harmon Lake Recreation Area on Otter Creek just eight miles north of Mandan, North Dakota. We’ve created the event to offer runners throughout North Dakota and surrounding areas a fun and challenging destination event on trails. We look forward to seeing you all test your grit. The Festival includes:

Saturday, June 24: 5k, 15k, Half & Full Marathon, Kids Race

Sunday, June 25: 5k, 8-mile, Kids Race

The 5k course is a different course on Sunday and the 8-mile course utilizes a trail route not used on Saturday. We’ve created this to offer several different route options!

PLEASE NOTE: We are doing registration a little different. Instead of changing fees by dates, we’re doing it by total number of participants. That means that if you’re one of the first 10 registered, you’re in for $5. It goes up after that. Check out the details below for the pricing structure for all the distances.

4:00-8:00pm: Racer check-in/packet pickup

Saturday, June 24th (Harmon Lake Parking Lot)

6:00am-8:00am: Packet Pickup

7:45am: Marathon start

8:15am: Half Marathon start

8:15am: 15k start

8:30am: 5k start

9:15am: 5k awards

10:15am: 15k awards

11:00am: Half Marathon awards

12:45pm: Marathon awards

3:15pm: Course closes. Services will be provided for runners who are able to finish the marathon in 7.5 hours or less.

Sunday, June 25th (Harmon Lake Parking Lot)

7:15-9:00am: Check in/Packet Pickup (If you checked in and got your racer bag on Friday night at Epic Sports or on Saturday, you do not need to check in Sunday morning.)

9:15am: 8-Mile start

9:30am: 5k start

10:15am: 5k Awards

11:00am: 8-Mile Awards

11:15am: Kids Race – For any children 9 years or younger. The course will be approximately 1K. This is free.

12:30pm: Course closes. Services will be provided for runners who are able to finish by then.
