Started by The Fredonia Lions in 1990 as a fundraising project for Fredonia area community organizations the Frebeka 5 Family Health Challenge Events course starts in Waubedonia Park following along the Milwaukee River to the charming hamlet of Waubeka past Stoney Hill School the home of Flag Day through beautiful farm fields into the village of Fredonia and the finish line in Waubedonia Park. This beautiful course includes three large hill climbs making the Frebeka 5 Mile Run “Wisconsin’s Most Challenging Run.” Our event is also a family affair providing a one mile “Kid’s” Fun Run, Two mile Run and a one or two mile Walk all held in Waubedonia and Krass Parks on flat safe park trails. All proceeds are donated tho the following health support organizations; BOLD- Blind Outdoor Liesure Development, Starting Points of Ozaukee, T-Baum Foundation and Lion Sight – Hearing – Diabetes prevention.
