A Dancer's Heart 5K Run/Walk/Dance...

RACE DETAILS:  USATF Certified for Peachtree Qualifying. A Dancer’s Heart, Inc. invites you to come out and run, walk or dance to help inspire excellence and success in the lives of young women.   Proceeds from A Dancer’s Heart, Inc. 5K go to the Decatur Educational Foundation, Imani Thompson Twine Scholarship, leadership and life skills programs for girls and young women.  To find out more information visit: http://www.adancersheart.org.  A Dancer’s Heart, Inc. was established to honor the life of Imani Thompson Twine, a member of the Decatur High School Class of 2011, a rising senior who passed away from a heart infection in 2010.

REGISTRATION:  Register by June 7:  $25 fee/ Adults, $15 / 12 & younger.   Fee =$35 for adults after June 7, 2015

AGE GROUPS/AWARDS: Overall M & F runners, Masters M & F runners & top M & F finishers in each age category:  10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over.   

Event details and schedule

START/FINISH:  Fifth Ave Academy, Decatur 30030.  Race is relatively flat and course runs through Oakhurst and the adjoining neighborhood.

8:45am -  5K Runners/ Walkers

9:15 am – Zumba Dance/Line Dancing
