Participate in the 2nd Sweetwater Triathlon, which will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017 in Nineveh, Indiana beginning at Sweetwater Lake Beach. This chip-timed race includes a half-olympic distance triathlon, Triathlon Relay, Duathlon, Aquabike, Aquathon and 5K Run, benefiting Cordry Sweetwater Fire Department.

Sweetwater Lake is located in the northeast corner of Brown County, approximately 12 miles northeast of Nashville, 20 miles from Franklin and 20 miles from Columbus. It is approximately 1 hour from downtown Indianapolis. The lake is man made with a 125 ft. dam and 110 ft of water at the dam. Sweetwater Lake is 3 1/2 miles long and 379 acres. The lake is among the most clean and clear water in Indiana, while the hills surrounding the lake are fierce. Plan to watch the fish swim below you in the crystal clear waters on your fast, flat swim!

Check-in time: 6:00-7:30 am at Sweetwater Lake Beach . The race will begin at 8:00 am.

Insurance
A USAT License is required. If you are an USAT member, BRING YOUR CARD and a drivers license on race day. If you’d like to purchase a one-day license, it is available for $15, through the online registration process.

The following rule changes have been approved and added to the USA Triathlon sanction, and will be enforced by the onsite USA Triathlon Referees, race staff and volunteers:

Rule Change #1: Modesty rule will be enforced. After the swim portion, no athlete can participate with a bare torso. All athletes must have a minimum coverage equal to that provided by a sports bra for men and women. A variable time penalty will be assessed to athletes displaying bare torso after the swim portion.

Rule Change #2: Penalty for personal audio devices, phones and other unauthorized accessories will be a disqualification. Athletes will not be warned during the event, but will see the disqualification reflected in the final results.

Rule Change #3: Penalty for littering on the bike and run will be disqualification. Athletes may discard trash within sight of an aid station. Athletes will not be warned during the event, but will see the disqualification reflected in the final results.

Masters Male Division: (Male 40+)
40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65+

Team Division (Male/Female/Mixed)

The Sweetwater Triathlon accommodates 200 athletes. If the field is not full on race day, race day entries will be accepted at the rate of $65 per athlete ($135 for teams). Shirts are $7. Pre-registered participants, who purchased a shirt when they registered by June 22nd will receive a high quality Tech fabric race t-shirt. Anyone who registers after June 22nd, will not receive a t-shirt, no exceptions.
