Color Me Cheerful Fun Run...

Fun, Fun, and MORE FUN! The Color Me Cheerful Fun Run is staged at the Pageant Area of beautiful Lake Ponca in Ponca City, OK. Participants will traverse this one-mile trail while getting showered with powdered paint at 3 color stations! Music and prizes will add to the excitement. The event will conclude with a giant color 'bomb' party where all entrants throw paint in the air for a huge cloud of color!

Professional photography will be provided by NP Studios-Oklahoma Photographer.  You and your friends can pose for a great photo memory at the beginning and/or end of the race.  You will also be able to look for yourself in action photos on-line after the event.  Website and order information will be included in your packet!

SCHEDULE:

Friday, July 7, 7:30-9:00 p.m. - Early packet pickup at Lake Ponca   Pageant Area

Saturday, July 8, 6:30 a.m. – Packet pickup

                          7:00 a.m. – Prize giveaway drawings begin!

                          7:30 a.m. – Event Start

After all participants have completed the course, the color ‘bomb’ party will take place. Prepare for an explosion of color!

COURSE INFO:

One-mile course with 3 color stations on a grassy, partially shaded area.

ARRIVAL:

6:30 a.m. for those who did not take advantage of early packet pickup

7:00 a.m. for everyone else!

PARKING:

1)  Grassy area behind first aid and other event stations

2)  Along shoulder of LA Cann Drive

3)  Across LA Cann Drive in park area

WHAT TO BRING:

ID, Any previously unsigned waivers, wristband if you picked up packet early, towels for cleanup and protection of the inside of your vehicle after the run, water (or you may purchase bottled water on site, $1, cash only), Sunscreen if you need it (and the paint will really stick to you then)

WHAT TO WEAR:

White, White, and More White! Our neon paint will stand out against white clothing.  Every participant will be required to wear a shirt, shorts or other lower body clothing, and close-toed shoes. NO FLIP-FLOPS OR SANDALS! Eye protection is recommended. Paint will get EVERYWHERE so a headband may be in order to keep it out of your ears. Dress as colorfully and imaginatively as you want! Bring out those crazy socks, tutus, hats, tights, or whatever!

ADDITIONAL INFO:

Walkup registration will be accepted, $20, cash only. Bottled water will be available for purchase, $1, cash only. There is not a water station on the course because it is relatively short. First aid will be available on site. REMEMBER TO VISIT THE PHOTO BOOTH!!
