Great Muddy Endurance Races...

• 3 Mile Run:- Run 3.1 Miles
• 1 Mile Run:- Run 1 Mile
• 10K Run:- Run 6.2 Miles
• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

The Great Muddy Endurance Race will be held in Gallup's hogback hills which is 6540ft above sea level it will have a series of different races fun for all ages. The two biggest races will be a 3-mile and a 6-mile course with over 20 different obstacles these courses have various different grades where you will climb and descend. Walk, sprint, skip, jog, or dance through trails, over walls, through tubes, and mud pits. Fun for the whole family! If getting muddy is not for you we also have a 3-mile scenic view walk/run. There is fun for the kiddos, the lil' Muddy Monster race will let them get muddy too. All proceeds will benefit UNM-Gallup Lions Hall renovation and RMCHCS/Western Health Foundation.

EARLY MUDDY BIRD SPECIAL:

Register for the Great Muddy Sprint 5k or the Great Muddy Endurance race 10k early and you will get a discount:

• $20 off from May 4th to May 31st
• $10 off from June 1st to June 30th
• Regular price after July 1st of $50 for Great Muddy Sprint 5k and $75 for the Great Muddy Endurance race 10k

Registration Packet Pickup at City of Gallup OHV/MX Park 139 Hasler Valley Road Gallup, NM:

• July 21 (Friday) – 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
• July 22 (Saturday) – 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM

Saturday July 22^nd event schedule is as follows

• 8:00 AM Scenic Walk/Run will start
• 10:30 AM 5k and 10k Great Muddy Endurance Races will start
• 3:30 PM Lil’ Muddy Monster Race will start
• 4:00 PM BBQ dinner will begin, your paid registration will give you one (1) free ticket additional tickets will be for sale at the event.

Parking and Vending info

Parking fee will be $3.00 (cash only,) parking staff will direct you on where to park. We will have food vendors. 

What to bring

The park is a big open area very little shade and few places to sit, you are welcome to bring tents, tables, chairs, coolers, waterproof sunscreen. This is a family event therefore we will not allow any alcoholic beverages on the premises. Bring the whole family the bigger the crowd the better we the loader the cheering section. We will have vendors bring cash.

Remember you will be muddy and wet so be sure to bring extra clothes for the ride home.

What to wear

Wear something that you do not mind getting muddy and wet, you will receive a souvenir t-shirt as part of the registration you may or may not want to get that muddy. Your running gear should ideally fit tightly. Otherwise, it'll soak up too much water and mud.
