EVENT DESCRIPTION:The Keswick Hunt Club invites you to participate in the 4th Annual Keswick Hunt Club Fox Trot 5K Trail Race at Castalia Farm. Run or walk a beautiful and challenging 5K trail course in the heart of Keswick. Kids 12 & under run free in the Kids’ Mile or Kids’ Scramble if registered before race day. A complimentary “Hunt Breakfast” featuring a wine tasting by Barboursville Vineyards follows the races.

Please support our charity partner The Piedmont Environmental Council. The Piedmont Environmental Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the natural resources, rural economy, history, and beauty of the Virginia Piedmont.

RACE DAY: The kids’ races start at 5:00PM with the 5K trail race beginning at 6:00PM. Runners, hikers, and walkers are equally encouraged to participate! After the event, please stick around for the complimentary post-race “Hunt Breakfast” featuring wine tasting hosted by Barboursville Vineyards!

COURSES: 5K run/walk Trail Race: a combination of cross-country and trail course with challenging hills.
The Kids’ Mile: a cross-country course of about 1 mile.
The Kids’ Scramble: a fun run around Castalia’s outdoor riding ring.

REGISTRATION: 5K Runners: $30 before May 20, $35 after 5/20
5K Walkers: $30 before May 20, $35 after 5/20
Kids’ Mile & Kids’ Scramble: FREE before May 20, $10 after 5/20

*All 5K participants registered before May 20st and the first 25 participants registered for either kids race (Kids’ Mile or Kids’ Scramble) will be guaranteed a t-shirt. T-shirt design coming soon!

Race Day Registration & Packet Pick-up: May 27th at Castalia Farm, beginning at 4:00 PM

Please note: The post-race “Hunt Breakfast” is free for all registered children, runners, hikers, and walkers. The wine tasting is available as part of the “Hunt Breakfast” for all registered participants over 21 only. Those under 21 will not be permitted to take part in the wine tasting. Spectators and non-participants accompanying registered participants can purchase add-on tickets for the “Hunt Breakfast” for $10 each at packet pick-up on race day or on the "store" link on the top left of this page.

Participant Awards: Prizes will be awarded to the top three male & female overall finishers in the 5K. Special prizes will be awarded to fastest male & female Keswick Hunt Club members! Those 12 & under in the Kids’ Mile and Kids’ Scramble will receive awards.

Fundraising Awards: The top ten fundraisers will receive a $25 dollar gift certificate to Great Outdoor Provision Company.

Results: Printed results will be available at the race site. Also, final results will be posted on http://www.keswickhuntclub.com/fox-trot-5k/, www.blueridgetiming.com, and by clicking the results link on this regisration page.
