Coast Guard Day 5K Run/Walk...

• 5K Run / Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles

The  U.S. Coast Guard Training Center invites all runners, walkers, military and civilian, to participate in the Twenty-ninth Annual Coast Guard Day 5K Run/Walk & 1 Mile Fun Run. The 5K course starts and finishes on the Training Center located in historic Yorktown, Va. After leaving the base, the course winds its way through the scenic National Park Battlefield roadways famous for their views of the encampment areas, siege lines, and redoubts which were the site of the Revolutionary War's final decisive battle. Awards will be presented in the following categories:
Male & Female - Top 3 overall

Active Duty Coast Guard runners - Top 3 overall (Male and Female)

Male & Female - Top 3 finishers in each age category:  14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 -69, 70 & over.

FREE Children's 1 mile Fun Run: Medals for first 25 finishers

5K Registration:  $15.00 through July 14, t-shirt guaranteed; $20.00 after July 14, t-shirt not guaranteed

Event details and schedule

7:00-8:15am: Race-day registration/preregistered packet pick-up. There will be no packet pickup prior to race day.

8:00am: Kids 1 mile Fun Run starts (Free - no registration required. T-shirts are $8.00 but not available online.  Contact event director for details.)

8:30am: Coast Guard Day 5K starts (Walkers welcome but no awards)

There will be light refreshments and drawings for door prizes following the race.

PHOTO ID REQUIRED TO ENTER BASE.  NO ONE, EVEN IF PREREGISTERED, WILL BE ALLOWED ENTRY WITHOUT PHOTO ID. ALL VEHICLES WILL BE INSPECTED PRIOR TO ENTRY TO BASE SO ALLOW EXTRA TIME.
