Spreckels 4th of July Run

 - The Spreckels Memorial District is proud to present the 47th Annual Spreckels 4th of July Celebration - 10K, 5K Run and 1K Run/Walk (youth).

Set in the beautiful sleepy town of Spreckels in the heart of the Salinas Valley. Spectecular views of the mountains and run through the agricultural fields. 

Event details and schedule

• BIB PICK UP: At the Spreckels Memorial Hall on July 3rd from 3pm-7pm. If you missed online registration come to the Hall on July 3rd to register. Price: $40 5K & 10K ***CASH ONLY***. No refunds. Event is rain or shine.

Top 3 runners in each age category will be awarded for both the 5K & 10K races.

Electronic timing provided by SVE Timing. 

• 10K & 5K Registration Fee:  $35 - before June 27th; $40 - June 2th to July 4th 

• Special Olympic Registration Fee: $10 - 5K & 10K (no price increase for this category)

• 1K Run/Walk (Children & Youth): registration not required & free of charge

• Age categories: 13 & under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

• Divisions include:

Women's 5k & 10k 

Men's 5k & 10k

All pre-registered runners are guaranteed a race shirt. Same day registration runners are not guaranteed a race shirt. 

Event details and schedule

Pre Race: Make sure to arrive early to ensure time for parking, registration, bib pick up, warm up, etc.

Youth 1 Miler: One-mile fun run for children ages 12 and under. Participant ribbons will be provided. This run is not timed and is free of charge.

Post Race: Our award ceremony starts at 10:45am and will need to have all runners finish the course by 11am. We welcome athletes of all levels but do keep in mind there is a time cap. Local vendors have been kind enough to provide post race snacks, beverages, and some take home goodies!

7:30am - 8:30am - 5K/10K Race Registration & Bib pick-up (located near 3rd street & Spreckels Memorial Park)

8:30am - Youth 1 Mile Run (start/finish line on 3rd St)

9am - 5K & 10K (start/finish line on 3rd St)

10:30am - Parade Registration (located near 3rd St & Spreckels Memorial Park)

10:45am - Awards Ceremony (near registration tent)

12pm - 4th of July Parade (starts at Memorial Building parking lot)

4pm - Crafts & Food Booths close - activities end
