Honoring “Princess Kate”, supporting St. Jude kids and families
The 11th annual AdvoKate Charity Run and Walk takes place Saturday August 5th, 2017 at Rochester Municipal Park just outside of Downtown Rochester. Walk and Run distances are available for all ages and fitness levels; 10k and 5k chip-timed runs, a 5k walk and a 1 mile fun run / stroller jog. The 10k and 5k courses cover a combination of concrete and light gravel, tree-lined trails. Post-run/walk activities include activities for children, raffle prizes and refreshments generously donated by local businesses.
All proceeds support pediatric brain tumor research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a non-profit treatment and research facility treating children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases, regardless of health insurance status. Funds are processed through the local St. Jude fundraising chapter.

Parking
The parking lot is at main entrance to the park next to the police station. There are other public lots in the area. Parking is Free.
What's included?
All pre-registered participants receive an event t-shirt, bib (runs are chip-timed), raffle ticket, water on the course, post-run refreshments and entertainment, and our sincere appreciation for helping to support our cause – to end childhood brain cancer. Late and walk up registration available, but please note, limited t-shirt availability.
Background
The 11th annual AdvoKate event honors Kate Hrischuk of Rochester, MI, who lost her courageous battle with an intrinsic brain stem glioma in early 2007 at age 6. advoKate was founded by Kate's parents whom have taken on the mission to raise awareness about the issue of limited available research on the disease that took their daughter's life.
