For the 8th year in a row, the Broad Street 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run in Hilltown, PA attracts top locally ranked runners and families alike to enjoy a fun event on the first Wednesday evening in August. As the late afternoon sun begins to drop toward the horizon, 1 mile fun runner/walkers start the activities at 6:30 PM and wrap up before the main attraction, the 5K, that kicks off at 7 PM. Runners enjoy a waning summer jaunt along a tree-lined country road in beautiful Hilltown of Bucks County.
Hosted by the Knight of Columbus #9736, 100% of all proceeds benefit charitable endeavors, primarily in the local area.
This year, race shirts will adorn the logo "IRUN4MATTHEW" to reflect the spirit of the gospel of Matthew (25:35-40) as we expand our charitable efforts by accepting food and clothing donations to benefit Pennridge FISH in Perkasie and the NOVA Thrift Shop on Broad Street in Hilltown. Along with your running shoes and competitive attitude, please bring canned and dry food items and/or qualified clothing donations (see NOVA website for details).
Awards are provided to the top male and female 5K runners, as well as the top 3 males and female 5K runners in each age group. The top 3 fun runners will receive gift cards.
