The 2017 Book'n It Run for Literacy offers something for everyone!  We feature a USATF-Certified 10K racecourse that is both challenging and fun, as well as a USATF-Certified 5K Run/Walk course, a 1-Mile Fun Run, and a Kids’ 100 Meter Dash that’s specifically for children 10 and under.  In 2016 over 425 participants came out to Book’n It Run, and we hope to have over 500 runners and walkers participating in 2017!

Team Registration: Participants may register as teams of 5 or more members across our 5K, 10K and 1-Mile events.  A 14% discount will be applied to qualifying registrations at checkout.  Team discounts are only available to those registering on-line.


Reduced Fee Registration Closes July 9th, 2017

You can register at a reduced rate ($30 for the 5K/10K events) through July 9, 2017.

Beginning July 10, 2017, Registration Fee for 5K/10K Events is $40

On July 10^th, the registration fee for the 5K/10K events increases to $40 per participant.

Online Registration Closes

Online registration closes for all races on August 2nd, 2017 at 11:59 PM.

T-Shirt Details

A complimentary t-shirt is included in the entry fee of the 5K/10K Run, 5K Walk, and 1 Mile Fun Run for all participants, however shirt size cannot be guaranteed for registrations received after July 22nd, 2017; participants in the Kids’ 100 Meter Dash can purchase a t-shirt for $10 if ordered by July 22nd.  Limited quantities of various sizes will be available up until race-day registrations, but sizes are not guaranteed unless registrations are received before July 23^rd.

Adult sized t-shirts can be upgraded to a tech shirt for an additional $10 if ordered before July 23rd. There will not be tech shirts available to purchase after this date.

Chip Timing

We are excited to be working with Tortoise & Hare Race Management once again! They will provide chip timing using the ITS Jaguar chip timing system for the 5K and 10K events. Race results will be reported accurately, immediately, and their chips are disposable!

Fun for All

Back by popular demand are the 1 Mile Fun Run, Kids’ 100 Meter Dash, and our famous Mascot Race, so bring the whole family for a fun-filled day!

Missed online registration? You can still register at the Sun Prairie Public Library during regular business hours or during the early packet pick-up on Friday, August 4th between 4:00 and 6:00 pm. You may also register at Sheehan Park on race-day between 6:30-7:45 am. 

Fees

• 5K Run & 10K Run: $30 through July 9th, 2016 or $40 after July 9^th.
• 5K Walk: $30 through July 9th, 2016 or $40 after July 9^th*
• 1 Mile Fun Run: $15 (no early registration discount applies)
• Kids’ 100 Meter Dash: $5 (no early registration discount applies)

Race Day Schedule:    Saturday August 5, 2017

6:30 am          Registration opens for 10K Run, 5K Run, and 5K Walk, 1 Mile Fun Run, and

                     Kids’ 100 Meter Dash

7:45 am          Registration closes for 10K Run, 5K Run, and 5K Walk

8:00 am          Start time for 10K Run, 5K Run, and 5K Walk

9:00 am          Registration closes for 1 Mile Fun Run and Kids’ 100 Meter Dash

9:05 am          Mascots run the Kids’ 100 Meter Dash

9:15 am          Start time for Kids’ 100 Meter Dash (for kids 10 and under) 

9:30 am          Start time for the 1 Mile Fun Run

Awards for the 5K and 10K Run will be presented shortly after top 3 finishers in each division are determined. Door Prize winners will be selected and posted near the shelter during the race.  All participants are eligible for prizes!
