• 5K Run/Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles

October is the National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Let's make a difference in the life of the people who had been abused and/or neglected by participating in this fundraising event for Tokens of Care, a charitable nonprofit organization, that delivers hope by visiting and providing gifts to the people at shelters and at temporary housing.
The event will start and finish at The Green at Southern Village (Market Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27516)

Race Day - Overview of activities:
- Same day registration will open from 6:30 am to 7:30 am
- Announcements and presentation from 7:40am to 7:55am
- Minute of silence from 7:55 am to 7:56 am
- Run/Walk will start at 8:00 am.
- The finish line will be closing at 9:15 am
- Awards ceremony will start at 9:30 am

Donations:
$25 Will provide 5 Care shawls for victims of sexual assault when they arrive for examination at the Solace Center at Interact in Raleigh.
$20 Will sponsor a special activity with the kids at the Central Children Home of NC during one of the 6 visits through out the year. One of the activities is to pack shoe boxes for Operations Christmas Child, which is presenting an opportunity for them to give.
$15 Will provide 3 journals for teenage girls at a shelter.
$10 Will provide a gift card for a woman at a shelter.
$5 Will provide a comfort item (stuffed animal) for a kid at a shelter.
$ Other Will be used as needed for the services at a shelter like for Mother's Day and Christmas.
