4K 4 Paws benefiting Animal Friends and Bow Wow Buddies...

We hope you all will join us on August 13th at 10am for the inaugural 4K 4 Paws benefiting Animal Friends Rescue and The Bow Wow Buddies Foundation!   The event will kick off at the North Park Boathouse and finish at the off leash dog park, where you will find a food truck and beer vendor, and other pet friendly vendors and fun activities for your furry friend.

Vendors include: Paws in the Sand, Pets Pleasures Gourmet Treats, The Coop Food Truck (chicken & waffles), Kona Shaved Ice, Avets, Animal Friends, PawTree natural foods, Your Critter Sitters, Jane Galic Photography, Pittsburgh Spay and Neuter Clinic, Paw Painting with Jelly Bean St Pittsburgh. (check back soon, as our vendor list is never complete!)

Race registration is by the number of paws that will be joining us for the event.  Register for 4 paws (1 dog), 8 paws (2 dogs), or 12 or more paws (note: 3 or more dogs will need 2 chaperones for the race).  All dogs must be up to date on their Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccines. NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES will be allowed for the race, as they can create a hazard for runners on the course (a 4' or 6' leash is recommended).  

The course will start at the North Park boat House, travel over the small footbridge heading south onto Lake Shore Drive with a turn around and water station at the halfway point.  The Finish Line will be marked by the off leash dog park (near the tennis courts).  The first place finisher for each category will receive a 1st Place finishers collar, and all participants will receive finishers bandannas. Please register your pup for the proper category; Petite Pups (up to 30lbs), Canine Crusaders (30lbs to 60lbs), or Rotund Rovers (60+ pounds).
