Since 2011, The Lynchburg Area Veteran’s Council has hosted the area’s only fund raising program that honors our fallen military and first responder heroes, and provides support for those who are in need.

We will host on September 11, 2017 the 7th annual “9-11 Never Forget Memorial Run.” Our event will be held at The Lynchburg American Legion, Post 16 on Sunday, 9/11 at 6:30pm. It will consist of a 5K run and a 1 mile fun run/walk.

The Lynchburg Area Veteran’s Council is a non profit, 501(c) (3) organization that filters moneys to three local military institutions; The Vietnam Veterans of America (Chapter 196), The American Legion (Post 16), and the Military Order of the Purple Heart (1607).
