25th Anniversary Celebration of Hope 

Welcome to the 25th Anniversary of the Triangle Walk - A Celebration of Hope. In honor of 25 years we are adding both a 5K and 10K!! Also this year we have a new date. So come out Saturday, September 30th, bring the family, and raise awareness about dementia in the Triangle.

Your support and participation in AlzNC Walks throughout NC will help us to continue our mission to assist North Carolinians and their families living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.

Alzheimer’s North Carolina has provided education, support and resources for caregivers, individuals with dementia and their families, health care professionals, and the general public while raising awareness and funding for research, prevention, and a cure for Alzheimer’s and other dementias for over 30 years.

100% of funds received remain in North Carolina to support families affected by dementia.

Information

Race Location: Koka Booth Amphitheatre (8003 Regency Pkwy., Cary, NC 27518)

Course Information: The course is around the roads and trails of Symphony Lake and Koka Booth Amphitheatre. Walk & 5K/10K Course Maps

Events: Youth, Juniors, Adults, Novices, and Families are welcome. All participants will have official chip-recorded times with posted results. All Fit & Able Productions, Inc. events are inclusion events: anyone of any age or skill-level can participate in any race course!

Awards: Awards for the 5K and 10K will be provided by Omega Sports for top three male and female overall finishers and top male and female age group finishers (19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over).

Packet Pick-Up: All participants must show a photo ID in order to pick up their race packets. All participants must pick up their own race packet and sign the Fit & Able and USATF waivers. Minors must be with a guardian with an ID to pick up their race packet.

Athletic Trainer: Medical assistance will be available at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre.

Race Souvenirs: Shirts are included with 5K/10K registration (sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL). Walkers who raise $50 or more will get a shirt. Top 3 Male/Female 5K/10K winners will receive a finishers medal.

Online registration closes on September 29th at 9 PM. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted at packet pick-up and race day.

Walk Registration Fee: FREE (but donation appreciated)
* Team registration option available. 

Virtual Walk Registration Fee: FREE (but donation appreciate)
* Want to join a team or participate but can't come on the day of the event? Register to participate virtually so you can still raise awareness and funds. 
* Virtual team registration option available. 

5K Registration Fee:

• Until August 31st: $25
• Until September 29th: $30
• Until Race Day September 30th: $35

10K Registration Fee:

• Until August 31st: $35
• Until September 29th: $40
• Until Race Day September 30th: $45

Kids in Strollers: FREE (but donation appreciated)
* Must use child's name and birthdate when registering.

Fit & Able Productions is a nonprofit organization that has been supporting community and family fitness in Cary since 1997 through organizing creative events and training programs. We also support many programs, such as swim safety lessons for underprivileged children and adults, youth fitness programs, and health education run by our community partners including the Cary Family YMCA, Triangle Aquatic Center, and Town of Cary. Proceeds from our events that aren't designated to support other organizations go to support the event and other Fit & Able nonprofit activities.
