About This Event:
AVDA's 18th Annual Race for Hope is organized by Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse, Inc. (AVDA) during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  All proceeds will support AVDA's programs and services to survivors of domestic abuse and their children.

Course, Timing and Scoring:
The course is USATF certifed.  The 5K Run and 10K Run will be Net Timing by AccuChip Timing, USA.  All participants will be issued a tag and bib number.  Failure to wear a tag during the event will disqualify the participant from being scored in the results.  There is a 90 minute time limit to complete the race.

Registration

• Race registration ends at 11:59pm October 13, 2017.
• Early packet pick-up for all events is October 6th-13th (only until noon), at Runner's Edge, 3195 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33431.  Hours:  M-W and F (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM); TH (10:00 AM - 7:00 PM); ST (8 AM-5 PM) and SUN (11:00 AM - 4PM)
• Race day packet pick-up will be held at Anchor Park begining 6:30 AM.
• NO REFUNDS.
  

Race for Hope T-Shirts will be given to the first 500 registrants only.

Awards: Awards to first place overall open, masters and grandmasters and five year age division three-deep for 5K and 10K.
Finishers medals will be given to all participants completing the race within the time limit.

Hometown Hero Awards: Awards to first place male and first place female police officers and firefighters in the 5K.
To be eligible to receive the Hometown Hero Award, you must be a police officer or firefighter on active duty and register in either the Hometown Hero Police or Hometown Hero Firefighter category.

Fundraising awards will be given to first place individual fundraiser, first place fundraising team and team with the largest number of members.

Purple Party Awards: Awards will be given out in various categories for the Purple Party. Check back for more information on the guidelines for this award. 

Parking: Parking at Anchor Park is limited and available to sponsors only.  Parking for the race is available in the following lots. 

• Gleason Street Lot:  Located on the west side of Gleason Street, south side of Atlantic Avenue across from First Presbyterian Church.
• Sandoway Lot:  Located at the Sandoway House Nature Center, 142 South Ocean Blvd. (A1A).
• Ingraham Lot:  Located at Ingraham Avenue and South Ocean Blvd. (A1A).
• Atlantic Dunes Lot: Located on South Ocean Blvd. (A1A), just north of Linton Blvd.

The Delray Downtowner will be providing free shuttle service from the above lots to Anchor Park from 6:00 AM - 11:00 AM.  Please call the Delray Downtowner at (561) 702-8519 for more information.
