Baby Steps 5K Fun Run/Walk...

• 5K Fun Run/Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles

Welcome to the 7th annual Baby Steps for Life! This is the 7th year for the Baby Steps, and the second year we have added a timed 5k! Feel free to run or walk along this challenging, but beautiful course as you leave the Ryken campus and go through the back roads of Old Leonardtown. The small town is quiet and quaint, and you will find yourself renewed as you circle downhill to the beautiful Wharf on Breton Bay. Enjoy the scenic views of water and wildlife while there, and finish by heading through Old Leonardtown and back to Ryken. 

After winners are announced, feel free to stay and listen to the pumping music, enjoy some family games, and hang around for fresh grilled lunch (extra charges may apply). Extra running and Care Net swag will also be available! 

This is a great opportunity to challenge your athletic ability through several rolling hills, inclines, and declines along the beautiful Leonardtown town lined with trees, shade, and calm waters. You can also rest confident that the money you gave for this run is going to provide for women and families facing unplanned pregnancy. Each step you take is a step for life! Event details and schedule

Check in begins at 8:30am. Upon check in, you will receive your registration packet, sign waiver, and given registration ticket which can be used for one (1) spin on our Game Wheel! 

Run starts at 9am. Runners will go first, followed by those who are walking. The race starts and ends at Ryken High School in Leonartown Md. Course will be monitored by volunteers and police are on stand by to ensure runner safety at 2 intersections. Please follow course as marked by cones and signs. 

Be sure to bring water, sunscreen, and sunglasses. 

Plenty of parking on site. 

Prize given for top runner - male and female. Please bring your family and stay for family games, Diaper dash, and cookout (extra charges may apply).
