The Herman & Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai supports the very heart of the family-centered care philosophy. From pediatric medicine to expert care in specialties such as cancer, neurologic disorders, bowel disease and diabetes, the Samuelson Children's Hospital delivers individualized care focused on the family and patient. The family works alongside the clinical team to ensure the best outcomes from their sick child. 16 sub-specialties are practiced by Baltimore's top doctors, nurses and clinical staff who care for our youngest and most fragile patients.
All proceeds from Race for Our Kids benefit the Samuelson Children's Hospital. In 2016, the proceeds benefited patient emergency financial assistance, water cooler for mothers whose babies are in the NICU, patient transportation, "face lifts" for the NICU pink and blue rooms, meal vouchers for parents when their children are in the hospital for lengthy stays, and so much more.
Join us on Sunday, September 17 as we gather to run and walk in celebration of the Samuelson Children's Hospital. Our pediatric team is second to none.
The 5K and 10K courses offer rolling hills and beautiful scenery throughout the Mt. Washington neighborhood. You can run or walk the 5K (3.1 miles) course and it is a great distance for those looking for more than the 1 mile walk distance. The 10K (6.2 miles) is more challenging and features $4,100 in cash prizes. Please note, no strollers or pets will be permitted on the 5K or 10K race routes for the safety of all participants.
The 1 Mile Family Fun Walk route travels around the Levindale and Sinai Hospital campuses and is ideal for families with young children or for walkers who want to participate in the race without completing the 5K or 10K. The Sinai Hospital Auxiliary hosts an interactive, themed walk with lots of fun surprises! Strollers are permitted on the 1 Mile Family Fun Walk route. Pets are not permitted. There is no fee for children 5 and under to participate, but we do ask that you register them so we can have the appropriate number of supplies for the walk.
