Welcome to Highland Elementary's first annual "Huskies Play60 5K Run/Walk"! This event is brought to you by your Fuel Up to Play60 committee and student ambassadors. By participating in this event, you will be supporting the school's new Play60 invovlement which encourages students of all ages to be active and healthy. ALL profits from this run/walk go directly to all future activities and incentives that align with the the Play60 initiative.

EVENT DATE: Saturday, September 2nd, 2017

10:00 AM Start Time!

As you register for this race, you will need to indicate a tshirt size for each participant. Please wear your tshirts on race day! T-shirt pickup will begin the week leading up to the race (8/28-9/1). You can pick up tshirts before school (7:50-8:15) and after school (3:15-3:45) in the elementary school's conference room by the office.

PLEASE NOTE: You will NOT be able to pick up your tshirt OR participate in the event unless your waiver is turned in! Waivers will be distributed to students, and will also be made available in the school's front office. A waiver MUST be turned in for each participant in the race.

Race starts at 10:00 AM sharp! Be sure to come early to stretch and prepare for exercise! Safety is our main priority, so be prepared with comfortable race clothes and good tennis shoes to ensure running/walking safety. In addition, eat a nutritious breakfast with lots of healthy carbs and low sugar to make sure your body is ready for a workout. 

Be sure to stick around after the race for a community BBQ on the elementary field put on by Highland Elementary's PTO.
