Paying It Forward All-Cancer 5K...

Run For Purpose, Inc will host our very first All-Cancer 5K. Come out and join us!!! This 5K is dedicated to anyone that has ever been diagnosed with cancer.

Let's come together as a community to support our family, friends, and loved ones. Get your teams started, get your employers involved, and tell your friends and family. 

We offer a Virtual 5K for those that are not in Tampa on September 9th but would like to participate.

How does the Virtual 5K work? You walk or run wherever you are. We will send your performance t-shirt and medal after the 5K event.

Run For Purpose, Inc mission is to ease the burden on those with cancer issues. We work closely with other foundations that specializes in educating about cancer, preventions, and patient care. The purpose of Paying It Forward All-Cancer 5K is to raise awareness for cancers, and to pay it forward to at least one person who needs a financial boost due to cancer related issues. 

We will be issuing a $1500 Paying It Forward Grant to a person with cancer on September 9th, during the Awards Ceremony. For more details, visit runforpurpose.com

Event details and schedule

Location: Al Lopez Park - a beautiful park with a certified 5K course,  great location (across from Raymond James Stadium), with nice scenery and ponds as you run or walk.

Race will be chip-timed for runners.  Walkers have the option to be chip-timed. 

Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in age categories.

 7:00 AM  - Same Day Packet Pick-up
 8:30 AM - 5K Begins (Runners First, Walkers Second)
10:00 AM - Awards Ceremony, Announcements & $1500 Paying It Forward Grant(s) recipients     
10:45 AM - Closing

Arrival Info: Please arrive at the Park before 7:30 AM for same day packet pick-up.

Parking Info: Al Lopez has free parking, and access to the park is easy.

Waivers: All Waivers must be signed and completed by Friday, September 9, 2017. Waivers are available when you register for event.
