16th Annual Jenny Melton Homecoming XC 5K & Fun Run...

• 1 Mile Fun Run:- Run 1 Mile

NEW LOCATION - WEST HALL HIGH SCHOOL

Please join us for this annual cross country 5K event as a tribute to Jenny Melton. Proceeds from the race benefit a scholarship fund named in her honor.  Jenny was a West Hall High School student athlete who tragically lost her life in an automobile accident on March 19, 2002. 

The course is on the running trails of West Hall High School in Oakwood.

Event details and schedule

Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup: Begins at 6:30AM

Fun Run: Starts at 7:30AM

5K: Starts at 8AM

Awards:  Overall M/F, Masters M/F, Grand Masters M/F, and top three M/F in age groups beginning 10 and under through 75 and over.

Shirts and Goodies: Plenty of food and fluids available after the race. All pre-registered runners guaranteed a t-shirt and on race day as supplies last.

Timing and Results: Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, www.runningintheusa.com and www.coolrunning.com.

Series Affiliation: The race is part of the 2017 Black Bag Race Series and the Run and See Georgia Grand Prix.

Directions:  From I-985, take exit #16 (GA 53 WEST). Turn left on McEver Road. West Hall High School will be approximately 3 miles down McEver Road on the right. Plenty of on-site parking.

Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on.  Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time.  If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time.  Sorry, no refunds.
