Family Alliance of Paulding Roots in the Mud OCR 5K...

The Family Alliance of Paulding Roots in the Mud obstacle course race is a fun event for the entire family. The race will take place at the OCR King Compound. The course will include difficult obstacles for those experienced OCR racers and easier obstacles for beginners and kids.

Register by August 1st to be guaranteed a t-shirt and a custom finisher medal. Registration will close on Sunday Sept 3rd at 12:00pm. 

Unfortunately, Roots in the Mud OCR 5k does not offer refunds under any circumstances.

Event details and schedule

The day will begin with a competitive wave at 8:00am, only timed wave. Obstacles completion and time will deteremine the winners. If you are unable to complete any of the assigned obstacles your time will not count for awards. Awards for the Competitive: Overall Male & Female 1st, 2nd, & 3rd.

Open waves every hour starting at 9:30 am until 5:30pm. Open waves will not be timed but a clock will be present for any runner that wants to keep track of their time. 

Finisher medals for all participants. All waves are limited to 50 participants. 

Please arrive 1 hour prior to your wave start time.

There will be a shuttle to take you to and from the OCR King Compund...just minutes down the road. 

Upon arrival to the race location go to the check-in table. Here you will receive your bib, race bag, and sign a waiver.

There will be a bag check area for your convenience.

Everyone registered by August 1st will be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Course description:

 The course begins with a 1 mile loop on a trail including a mud pit, carry, tree balance beam, hill climb, creek crawl and water obstacles. The loop concludes in the compound area where each OPEN WAVES participants will choose 3 additional obstacles to complete then they will continue on to do the next lap. There will be a fueling station in the transition area. Three full loops complete the race.

Obstacles: The Rig, Sternum Checker, Traverse Wall, Cargo net wall, Mud Pits, Hoist, Weaver, Monkey Bars, Tire Pull, Just to name a few.

Will see many of the favorites from last year as well as some new obstacles too.

 8:00 am COMPETITIVE WAVE ( Only Timed event) participants have assigned obstacles in the Compound area.

The obstacles assigned can be completed in any order within the loop as assigned.

Items you may want to bring: sunscreen, bug spray, a towel, change of clothes/shoes, and cash for the on site vendors.
