Care Net Pregnancy Center of Putnam County exists to share the love of Jesus Christ and empower individuals to make informed choices.

 Care Net opened in June 1994 as Crisis Pregnancy Center of Putnam County to assist those facing unplanned or “crisis” pregnancies. Today Care Net serves hundreds of clients each year with free and confidential services made possible by the giving of generous people like you. In Janauary 2017, Care Net also began offering ultrasounds. We are excited about this new part of our ministry and hope that you will consider partnering with us by participating in this year's Walk/Run for Life! 

Event details and schedule

Course Description and Map:

This trail run takes place on well-kept, lightly graveled trails and will take particpants along Big Walnut Creek, through wooded areas, and through an old quarry. There are a few hills, along with several flat sections, and it includes shaded and sunny sections. A greatly varied course!

Age Groups:

There will be 1st place awards for each of the following age groups for both male and female participants, plus an overall award for the top male and the top female runner.

Schedule:

Registration Begins at Welcome Center (#1 on the map): 8:15 am 

Prayer Time and Instructions: 8:45 am

Race Begins Promptly: 9:00 am - please do not be late! 

Walk Begins: 9:00 am

Make It a Family Event!

Our annual walk-for-life will be taking place on a different trail at the same location that day. If you have members of your family that would like to come but do not want to run, please consider participating in our 2 mile walk at your own pace! It would be great for those with strollers or young children and would make a great nature walk! Sign up for the walk here.

Are there any age limits?

No, we trust parents to know the limitations of their children, and we welcome anyone of any age who would like to participate. However, a waiver must be signed by a parent for anyone running under the age of 18, and anyone under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. 

What happens in case of bad weather?

The race and walk go on regardless of rain, wind, or temperature. If there is thunder or lightning, we will delay the race until it passes. Feel free to bring an umbrella if you will be walking! 

What is the refund policy?

Because this is a fundraising event, there will be no refunds. We will consider it a donation to our organization. If you have any concerns or questions, please contact us.  

Can I register the day of the race?

Yes, you can; however, the cost will increase to $35, and there will be no guarantee of your choice of t-shirt size. Plus, it will take you more time the day of the race so plan to arrive early.
